Why the Surprise? Saudi Arabia has Always Engaged in Murder

It is understandable people are outraged over the murder and dismemberment of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Meanwhile, few are outraged over the murder of thousands in Yemen and the prospect of the worst humanitarian crisis in recent memory. The United States in directly involved in killing innocents in Yemen.

Trump wants to sell billions of dollars of armaments to the Saudis and these will be used to kill more people in Yemen. The president says cranking out bombs, missiles, tanks, fighter jets, etc. will create jobs for Americans.

In other words, if you want to support your family and stay off the public dole, you have to participate in mass murder.

The average American, however, is at best vaguely aware of the role the US plays in Yemen. When was the last time you read a report about these war  crimes in The New York Times or saw a report on CNN? It’s the job of the corporate media to keep these grisly realities safely hidden or at best seriously underreported.

Hypocrisy reeks from the White House, Congress, and the suites of the corporate media. Saudi Arabia has persecuted and executed critics for decades, yet the murder of one journalist—who wasn’t even a serious critic of the medieval regime—outrages the public.

If most Americans knew the truth about the Wahhabi version of Sunni Islam, they would want nothing to do with the Saudis despite their bounty of oil. Instead, the attention of the American people is steered toward Iran, described as the top sponsor of terrorism, when in fact the top sponsors of terror are the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.

Dozens of unarmed people are killed by Israeli snipers—including medics and children—for the crime of protesting ill-treatment at the hands of what can only be described as an apartheid and racist government.

Back in April, Israel’s trained murderers killed Yasser Murtaja, a photojournalist who worked for the BBC and Vice. Not a word from Trump or his raft of neocons on Murtaja’s death, nor the wounding of half a dozen other journalists deliberately targeted by the IDF.

Trump tells us there will be a “deal of the century” between Israel and the Palestinians, a deal arranged by his son-in-law, a confirmed Zionist sharing a relationship with Bibi Netanyahu, the Likudnik prime minister of Israel.

Previous Israeli leaders have called the Palestinians “beasts on two legs” and “crocodiles.” General Shlomo Lahat, the mayor of Tel Aviv, said all Palestinians must be killed if they don’t agree to become slaves. Israel Koenig declared the Israeli government must use terror, assassination, intimidation, the cut off of all social services, and land confiscation to ethnically cleanse  Galilee of its Arab population. There are dozens of quotes like this from Israeli leaders and academics.

In Saudi Arabia, the government will chop your head off it you consume alcohol, are involved in a consensual homosexual relationship, heterosexual adultery, consume illegal drugs, or engage in other nonviolent behavior. Because Saudi Arabia doesn’t have a penal code, judges can sentence a person to death for almost anything.

Trump has ignored—or is quite possibly ignorant—the crimes committed by these two rogue regimes. His main news source is reportedly Fox News, so it makes sense he knows nothing about this. Everything he needs to know is provided by his son-in-law and his neocon national security adviser, the psychopath John Bolton.

No, the US government will not punish Saudi Arabia for its behavior. Trump believes “rogue killers” are responsible for the murder of Khashoggi. It looks like the blame will be placed Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, a top aide to Mohammed bin Salman, the boy prince who tortures his relatives and steals their wealth.

MbS may be replaced by his younger brother Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the US, but this will change absolutely nothing.

The pathology of the Saudi regime is rooted in the Wahhabi brand of Sunni Islam. For the Wahhabi, all who do not follow their austere and violent religion are infidels deserving death, especially the Shi’a. In the demented mindset of the Saudi royals, famine and targeting civilian buses are entirely justified because, like Israel, Saudi Arabia is a racist and religiously intolerant state. For the racist and religious zealot, those outside the tribe are crocodiles, cockroaches in bottles, and beasts walking on two legs.

The Khashoggi affair will eventually fall out of the news cycle and it will soon be business as usual between Trump and MbS or whomever his replacement may or may not be.

Saudis Float Khashoggi “Accidental Death” Cover Story

Because the Saudis can’t deny they killed (possible intelligence asset) Jamal Khashoggi, they will instead make up a story and hope you buy it.

It was an interrogation that went wrong and, you know, they’re sorry about that.

From the NY Post:

Saudi Arabia is prepared to admit that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed during an interrogation that went wrong, according to reports on Monday.

The kingdom is readying a report that will say Khashoggi’s death happened during an interrogation before being removed from Turkey, CNN reported.

The report will conclude that the operation was carried out “without clearance” and that those involved will be held responsible, the network said, but cautioned that it could still change.

Trump will probably adopt this BS story. He’s not going to let the torture and murder of a journalist get in the way of selling billions of dollars in death merchandise.

Notice this assassination was accomplished without “clearance,” that is to say without a thumbs down by Mohammed Bin Salman.

The New York Times reports:

One person familiar with the Saudi plans said on Monday that the Saudi government was preparing to describe a scenario that would protect the prince from any blame.

Instead of MbS taking blame for ordering the journalist’s murder, an underling will step up and fall on his sword.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the plans. But he said the royal court would soon put out a narrative that an official within the kingdom’s intelligence services—who happened to be a friend of Prince Mohammed—had carried out the killing.

Following this charade, it will be back to business as usual—buying weapons and committing genocide in Yemen with the help of the United States.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Saudi Arabia Threatens to Take Down World Economy

In response to being held responsible for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the fossilized medieval Wahhabi Kingdom has threatened to destabilize the world’s petroleum-based economy.

Here’s the threat posted online by the Saudi Press Agency:

The kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine it, whether by threatening to impose economic sanctions, using political pressures or repeating false accusations… The Kingdom also affirms that if it receives any action, it will respond with greater action.

Meanwhile, the boss of the fount of Saudi propaganda, Al Arabiya, was a bit more blunt.

Turki Aldakhil said Saudi Arabia will respond by igniting “economic disaster that would rock the entire world” if it is held responsible for murdering and dismembering the journalist.

“There are simple procedures, that are part of over 30 others, that Riyadh will implement directly, without flinching an eye if sanctions are imposed,” he said.

Aldakhil also said Saudi Arabia may price its oil “in a different currency, Chinese yuan, perhaps, instead of the dollar.”

On Sunday Trump went on 60 Minutes and Lesley Stahl asked him what sanctions would be placed on Saudi Arabia. Trump said he doesn’t want to endanger the arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

“I don’t want to hurt jobs,” he said. “I don’t want to lose an order like that. There are other ways of—punishing, to use a word that’s a pretty harsh word, but it’s true.”

Jobs. In an industry manufacturing murder tools sold to Wahhabis so they might continue killing babies in Yemen.

Earlier today, Trump mounted Twitter and stepped back from blaming the boy king MbS after talking with his elderly father, King Salman.

Instead, according to Trump, the murder may have been committed by “rogue killers,” whatever that means.

Trump didn’t speculate how these phantom off-the-reservation killers entered the Saudi embassy in Istanbul and accomplished a murder without raising suspicion or protest.

Of course, the medieval torture and murder of a lowly journalist will not be allowed to spoil the special relationship between the military complex and the Saudis or endanger the plan for a “Davos in the Desert,” never mind headlines to the contrary.

Killing Journalists: Business as Usual in the Saudi Kingdom

The hypocrite and war crime facilitator Samantha Power weighed in on President Trump’s inaction on the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Take Power’s tweet for what it is—a partisan jab at Trump. Her former boss was also an enabler for the venal Saudis, going so far as to take a bow when meeting with King Abdullah.

It’s said Obama wasn’t fond of the Saudis, but this didn’t stop him from helping them cover up their role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

“Isn’t it time for the American president to stand with the victims of the attack rather than the House of Saud? Only by becoming an advocate for those who died in 9/11, can President Obama help reveal the truth,” writes Gerald Posner.

Obama protected the Saudis by vetoing legislation—passed in the House and Senate—allowing victim families to sue Saudi Arabia for its role in the attack.

He also signed off on a $115 billion arms deal with the Saudis, thus showing how personal issues with fossilized monarchs are irrelevant when hundreds of billions of dollars in death merchant wares are involved.

Obama’s animosity wasn’t apparently an issue when the Saudis gave White House aides jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to Ben Rhodes, Obama’s speechwriter at the time.

More important than suitcases filled with overpriced jewelry is Obama’s agreement to refuel Saudi planes killing children and wedding guests in Yemen, thus making the US complicit in serious war crimes. Obama was a salesman for the death merchants, although he could not show the exuberance displayed by Trump as he flew around the world selling high-tech murder wares.

“The first is that it’s enriched U.S. weapons manufacturers, which have made $33 billion from deals with the Gulf in just the past 11 months, according to the State Department. Companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing are thrilled—and defense industry analysts suggest the good times are just beginning,” Akbar Shahid Ahmed wrote in 2016.

Now let’s move on to Ms. Power, Obama UN ambassador. This woman is a war criminal, plain and simple.

According to the late investigative journalist Robert Parry, Power’s to-do list included illegally and violently overthrowing Bashar al-Assad in Syria, and this “takes precedence over shielding Alawites and other minorities from the likely consequence of Sunni-extremist vengeance. And she has sided with the ethnic Ukrainians in their slaughter of ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine.”

Power’s self-righteous approach to human rights deciding that her side wears white hats and the other side wears black hats is a bracing example of how “human rights activists” have become purveyors of death and destruction or what some critics have deemed “the weaponization of human rights.”

It is very easy to believe the Saudis had a journalist killed and chopped into pieces for the crime of lightly criticizing the Wahhabi monarchy. These are people who routinely chop off the heads of critics. Israa al-Ghomgham, a 29-year-old Shiite rights activist who was arrested, along with her husband, Moussa al-Hashem, in December 2015, faces this medieval prospect. A “Specialized Criminal Court” will decide their fate later this month.

Most Americans are Oblivious to the Bush-Obama-Trump Plan to Takedown Syria

Thanks to Brandon Turbeville for connecting the dots on the US-Israel-Saudi plan to take down Bashar al-Assad and Syria. Turbeville reminds us of an article published by TIME in 2006.

TIME revealed a leaked two-page document circulating amongst key figures in the Bush administration that openly stated that the U.S. was “supporting regular meetings of internal and diaspora Syrian activists” in Europe. The document made no bones about expressing hope that “these meetings will facilitate a more coherent strategy and plan of actions for all anti-Assad activists.”

This “coherent strategy” included using Wahhabi serial killers to topple the al-Assad government. This strategy resulted in the murder of more than 500,000 people in Syria. This has been portrayed in the West as al-Assad killing his own people.

It’s never explained why al-Assad is killing his own people. It’s just something brutal dictators do. We’re told they also like to use chemical weapons.

The Muslim Brotherhood—long a US and British intelligence asset—was used in the effort to oust al-Assad, according to the documents. Before this happened, however, the Brotherhood needed a facelift.

The [National Salvation Front] includes the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist organization that for decades supported the violent overthrow of the Syrian government, but now says it seeks peaceful, democratic reform.

The TIME article adds further evidence the United States, Israel, and the Saudis have actively worked for years to take down Syria and turn it into a compliant puppet state—even a Wahhabi caliphate, if need be. This effort has failed.

But none of this really matters.

The American people are not on that wavelength.

Most are seriously deficient in history and politics. Those who have not tuned out completely are busy attacking their enemies on the other side of the great—and largely manufactured and excessively exploited—political divide.

Hysteria—most recently over separated children—is exacerbated by the propaganda media. It dominates the foreground as the murder of children by Trump’s drone and missile attacks remain out of focus and ignored in the background.

For the corporate media, the crimes of the United States—in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa—are far less important than to a thug stealing a MAGA baseball cap from a kid at a burger joint.
