It is the right and duty of all Americans to REFUSE to comply with unconstitutional gun laws

The far-left Colorado enclave of Boulder, home to the University of Colorado, recently enacted a “law” that targets gun owners by criminalizing them for not jumping through a bunch of arbitrary bureaucratic hoops aimed at deconstructing the Second Amendment. But setting an example for all of us are patriots and gun-owners like local Boulder resident Jon Caldara, who’s gone public to say that he will never comply with his city’s unconstitutional demands, no matter the cost to his own life and livelihood.

President of the Independence Institute in Denver and a weekly column-writer at The Denver Post, Caldara, who also hosts a talk radio program and current events show on Colorado Public Television, is sounding the alarm about this Leftist affront to the Second Amendment rights of Boulder residents like himself. He’s also raising funds to defend himself against the inevitable persecution he’s bound to suffer at the hands of the gun-hating Leftists who run the city of Boulder.

“I understand why people are nervous and scared about so-called ‘assault weapons.’ Why? Because I used to be that person,” Caldara states in a short video explaining where he’s coming from, and why he’s standing his ground against the tyrants who seek to deprive him, and others like him, of their right to bear arms.

“I used to give money to anti-gun organizations. ‘There’s an epidemic and something needed to be done.’ Common sense regulations made, well, common sense. But it took years for me to get past the emotionalism to understand the truth behind guns. Now my Second Amendment rights are core to who I am, it’s in the fiber of who I am.”

Be sure to check out Caldara’s Freedomfy fundraising page for more.

Leftists are hypocritically intolerant of things they’re scared of and don’t understand, including guns

As a former Leftist himself, Caldara understands the mindset that other Leftists have against guns – which he says is completely hypocritical.

“I believe the individual is sovereign, and therefore he has a right to self-defense,” Caldara maintains. “You know, I get this issue of tolerance. And it’s easy to be tolerant of things you understand or support. But tolerance means tolerating things you don’t understand, or you find dangerous.”

As for the new law, Caldara says that it specifically targets existing gun-owners who live in Boulder, requiring them to bring themselves to the police for investigation. Gun-owners in Boulder are also required to bring in their guns for inspection, pay for another background check, and pay yet again for “permission slips” to keep the guns they already own.

“It’s not about gun control; it’s about separating people from the community,” Caldara says, comparing this latest Leftist affront against the Second Amendment to the AIDS epidemic of old, which attempted to enforce similar discriminatory policies against those who were diagnosed with the deadly illness.

“It’s about saying, ‘you are different.’ It’s about making it harder to be who you are, to always look over your shoulder at the gun range, to be unwelcome in a town that talks about tolerance and diversity constantly.”

In Caldara’s view, what Boulder Leftists are doing in the name of “protecting children” is exactly the thing they constantly preach against – mainly intolerance, mistreatment of those who are different, and fear of the “other.”

“Progressives wield intolerance like the weapon it is,” Coldara contends. “But are they kidding us or themselves when they smugly assert their tolerance? Do they believe their ‘Celebrate Diversity’ bumper stickers, blind to the hypocrisy?”

Be sure to check out Caldara’s Freedomfy page which, as of this writing, has already received 158 percent of its projected fundraising goal – with 83 days left for people to contribute.

The State of the Union: These Are Dangerous Times, and the Government Is To Blame

“As I look at America today, I am not afraid to say that I am afraid.”—Bertram Gross, Friendly Fascism: The New Face of Power in America

These are dangerous times.

Mind you, when I say that these are dangerous times, it is not because of violent crime, which remains at an all-time low, or because of terrorism, which is statistically rare, or because our borders are being invaded by armies, which data reports from the Department of Homeland Security refute.

No, the real danger that we face comes from none other than the U.S. government and the powers it has granted to its standing army to steal, cheat, harass, detain, brutalize, terrorize, torture and kill.

The danger “we the people” face comes from masked invaders on the government payroll who crash through our doors in the dark of night, shoot our dogs, and terrorize our families.

This danger comes from militarized henchmen on the government payroll who demand absolute obedience, instill abject fear, and shoot first and ask questions later.

This danger comes from power-hungry bureaucrats on the government payroll who have little to no understanding of their constitutional limits.

This danger comes from greedy politicians and corporations for whom profit trumps principle.

You want to know about the state of our union? It’s downright scary.

Consider for yourself.

Americans have no protection against police abuse. It is no longer unusual to hear about incidents in which police shoot unarmed individuals first and ask questions later, such as the 16-year-old teenager who skipped school only to be shot by police after they mistook him for a fleeing burglar. Then there was the unarmed black man in Texas “who was pursued and shot in the back of the neck by Austin Police… after failing to properly identify himself and leaving the scene of an unrelated incident.” And who could forget the 19-year-old Seattle woman who was accidentally shot in the leg by police after she refused to show her hands? What is increasingly common, however, is the news that the officers involved in these incidents get off with little more than a slap on the hands.

Americans are little more than pocketbooks to fund the police state. If there is any absolute maxim by which the federal government seems to operate, it is that the American taxpayer always gets ripped off. This is true, whether you’re talking about taxpayers being forced to fund high-priced weaponry that will be used against us, endless wars that do little for our safety or our freedoms, or bloated government agencies such as the National Security Agency with its secret budgets, covert agendas and clandestine activities. Rubbing salt in the wound, even monetary awards in lawsuits against government officials who are found guilty of wrongdoing are paid by the taxpayer.

Americans are no longer innocent until proven guilty. We once operated under the assumption that you were innocent until proven guilty. Due in large part to rapid advances in technology and a heightened surveillance culture, the burden of proof has been shifted so that the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty has been usurped by a new norm in which all citizens are suspects. This is exemplified by police practices of stopping and frisking people who are merely walking down the street and where there is no evidence of wrongdoing. Likewise, by subjecting Americans to full-body scans and license-plate readers without their knowledge or compliance and then storing the scans for later use, the government—in cahoots with the corporate state—has erected the ultimate suspect society. In such an environment, we are all potentially guilty of some wrongdoing or other.

Americans no longer have a right to self-defense. In the wake of various shootings in recent years, “gun control” has become a resounding theme. Those advocating gun reform see the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms as applying only to government officials. As a result, even Americans who legally own firearms are being treated with suspicion and, in some cases, undue violence. In one case, a Texas man had his home subjected to a no-knock raid and was shot in his bed after police, attempting to deliver a routine search warrant, learned that he was in legal possession of a firearm. In another incident, a Florida man who was licensed to carry a concealed firearm found himself detained for two hours during a routine traffic stop in Maryland while the arresting officer searched his vehicle in vain for the man’s gun, which he had left at home. Incidentally, the Trump Administration has done more to crack down on Second Amendment rights than anything the Obama Administration ever managed.

Americans no longer have a right to private property. If government agents can invade your home, break down your doors, kill your dog, damage your furnishings and terrorize your family, your property is no longer private and secure—it belongs to the government. Likewise, if government officials can fine and arrest you for growing vegetables in your front yard, praying with friends in your living room, installing solar panels on your roof, and raising chickens in your backyard, you’re no longer the owner of your property.

Americans no longer have a say about what their children are exposed to in school. Incredibly, the government continues to insist that parents essentially forfeit their rights when they send their children to a public school. This growing tension over whether young people, especially those in the public schools, are essentially wards of the state, to do with as government officials deem appropriate, in defiance of the children’s constitutional rights and those of their parents, is reflected in the debate over sex education programs that expose young people to all manner of sexual practices and terminology, zero tolerance policies that strip students of any due process rights, let alone parental involvement in school discipline, and Common Core programs that teach students to be test-takers rather than critical thinkers.

Americans are powerless in the face of militarized police. In early America, citizens were considered equals with law enforcement officials. Authorities were rarely permitted to enter one’s home without permission or in a deceitful manner. And it was not uncommon for police officers to be held personally liable for trespass when they wrongfully invaded a citizen’s home. Unlike today, early Americans could resist arrest when a police officer tried to restrain them without proper justification or a warrant—which the police had to allow citizens to read before arresting them. (Daring to dispute a warrant with a police official today who is armed with high-tech military weapons and tasers would be nothing short of suicidal.) As police forces across the country continue to be transformed into outposts of the military, with police agencies acquiring military-grade hardware in droves, Americans are finding their once-peaceful communities transformed into military outposts, complete with tanks, weaponry, and other equipment designed for the battlefield.

Americans no longer have a right to bodily integrity. Court rulings undermining the Fourth Amendment and justifying invasive strip searches have left us powerless against police empowered to forcefully draw our blood, strip search us, and probe us intimately. Accounts are on the rise of individuals—men and women—being subjected to what is essentially government-sanctioned rape by police in the course of “routine” traffic stops. Remember the New Mexico man who was subjected to a 12-hour ordeal of anal probes, X-rays, enemas, and finally a colonoscopy—all because he allegedly rolled through a stop sign?

Americans no longer have a right to the expectation of privacy. Despite the staggering number of revelations about government spying on Americans’ phone calls, Facebook posts, Twitter tweets, Google searches, emails, bookstore and grocery purchases, bank statements, commuter toll records, etc., Congress, the president and the courts have done little to nothing to counteract these abuses. Instead, they seem determined to accustom us to life in this electronic concentration camp.

Americans no longer have a representative government. We have moved beyond the era of representative government and entered a new age, let’s call it the age of authoritarianism. History may show that from this point forward, we will have left behind any semblance of constitutional government and entered into a militaristic state where all citizens are suspects and security trumps freedom. Even with its constantly shifting terrain, this topsy-turvy travesty of law and government has become America’s new normal. It is not overstating matters to say that Congress, which has done its best to keep their unhappy constituents at a distance, may well be the most self-serving, semi-corrupt institution in America.

Americans can no longer rely on the courts to mete out justice. The U.S. Supreme Court was intended to be an institution established to intervene and protect the people against the government and its agents when they overstep their bounds. Yet through their deference to police power, preference for security over freedom, and evisceration of our most basic rights for the sake of order and expediency, the justices of the Supreme Court have become the architects of the American police state in which we now live, while the lower courts have appointed themselves courts of order, concerned primarily with advancing the government’s agenda, no matter how unjust or illegal.

I haven’t even touched on the corporate state, the military industrial complex, SWAT team raids, invasive surveillance technology, zero tolerance policies in the schools, overcriminalization, or privatized prisons, to name just a few, but what I have touched on should be enough to show that the landscape of our freedoms has already changed dramatically from what it once was and will no doubt continue to deteriorate unless Americans can find a way to wrest back control of their government and reclaim their freedoms.

There can be no denying that the world is indeed a dangerous place, but what you won’t hear in any State of the Union address—what the president and his cohorts fail to acknowledge—is that it’s the government that poses the gravest threat to our freedoms and way of life, and no amount of politicking, parsing or pandering will change that.

So what do we do about this dangerous state of our union?

How do we go about reclaiming our freedoms and reining in our runaway government?

Essentially, there are four camps of thought among the citizenry when it comes to holding the government accountable. Which camp you fall into says a lot about your view of government—or, at least, your view of whichever administration happens to be in power at the time.

In the first camp are those who trust the government to do the right thing, despite the government’s repeated failures in this department.

In the second camp are those who not only don’t trust the government but think the government is out to get them.

In the third camp are those who see government neither as an angel nor a devil, but merely as an entity that needs to be controlled, or as Thomas Jefferson phrased it, bound “down from mischief with the chains of the Constitution.”

Then there’s the fourth camp, comprised of individuals who pay little to no attention to the workings of government. Easily entertained, easily distracted, easily led, these are the ones who make the government’s job far easier than it should be.

It is easy to be diverted, distracted and amused by the antics of politicians, the pomp and circumstance of awards shows, athletic events, and entertainment news, and the feel-good evangelism that passes for religion today.

What is far more difficult to face up to is the reality of life in America, where unemployment, poverty, inequality, injustice and violence by government agents are increasingly norms.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, the powers-that-be want us to remain divided, alienated from each other based on our politics, our bank accounts, our religion, our race and our value systems. Yet as George Orwell observed, “The real division is not between conservatives and revolutionaries but between authoritarians and libertarians.”

Cartels Are Making Americans Living Near The Border Afraid To Report Crimes

U.S. residents living near the southern border claim they are afraid to report immigration-related crimes to the police, detailing horrific stories of retaliation by Mexican cartels.

“I turned in 700 pounds [of marijuana] up here … I called it in [to Border Patrol]. They went and got it. That night, [the smugglers] came back. They … broke off all the floats off my troughs — chopped ’em up, drained all of it,” Billy Darnell, a cattle rancher in New Mexico, explained to the Washington Examiner.

Unlike other residents in the area, Darnell alerts the Border Patrol and local authorities whenever he sees an incident. However, the Hidalgo County cattle ranger says he has paid the price for talking.

Drug smugglers working for the cartels are constantly crossing the U.S-Mexico border, carrying marijuana and other illicit narcotics with them. Many times, smugglers will camp out and make use of property on the U.S. side of the border, clashing with American ranchers and residents.

After reaching out to residents living near the area, several told the Washington Examiner that reporting immigration-related crimes — such as burglary or finding drugs near their property — to the police can lead to retaliation. Fearing retribution, many of them forgo calling authorities altogether.

“I mix and mingle with these folks a lot,” said Joel Edwards, a Hidalgo County commissioner who said ranchers’ fears of retaliation by the cartels are legitimate. “That’s pretty much a real common feeling out there … I’ve heard it quite a bit in the last few weeks. They’re just scared.”

Another resident, Tricia Elbrock, believes cartel spotters camp out in the hills that overlook her home in Animas, New Mexico, and would know if she attempted to report suspicious activity. Elbrock has reported finding semiautomatic rifles, cellphones and satellite phones. However, she said she never approaches anything that is left on her property because people watching “could pick us off with a rifle.”

News of resident anxiety comes as lawmakers in Congress continue to debate border security and possible construction of a massive border wall.

After undergoing the longest shutdown in U.S. history, President Donald Trump relented and allowed the federal government to reopen in late January. However, Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill have until Feb. 15 to reach an agreement or else face another shutdown. It’s not clear if Democrats will allow a comprehensive deal on border security to include funding for a border wall — something Trump has made clear is a deal-breaker.

In the meantime, the president is wielding his executive authority to beef up security on the U.S.-Mexico border. The Pentagon announced Jan. 29 it was sending an additional 2,000 troops to the southwestern part of the border for a mission that will extend until Sept. 30. The Pentagon on Sunday announced another 3,750 U.S. troops to be deployed at the border.

Soldiers will help border agents install barbed wire and assist with other immigration enforcement efforts.

New York Democrats just legalized murdering children who survive failed abortions… pure EVIL

As heinous as New York’s new abortion law is, allowing for unborn babies to be legally murdered right up to the point of birth, it’s actually a whole lot worse than that.

After a careful reading of the law’s provisions, it’s clear that, in addition to legalizing abortion at any point during pregnancy, the changes to Section 4164 of New York’s Public Health Law also allow for babies to be aborted afterthey’re born – a form of murder known as infanticide.

As reported by LifeNews.com, the legislation’s wording suggests that botched abortions, in which an unborn baby ends up being birthed rather than murdered, can be attempted again after that baby has left the birth canal.

“When an abortion is to be performed after the twentieth week of pregnancy, a physician other than the physician performing the abortion shall be in attendance to take control of and to provide immediate medical care for any live birth that is the result of the abortion,” the law reads.

In other words, should a baby be born instead of aborted as intended, another physician can step in and engage the process a second time.

“This law guarantees it, sweeping away a large chunk of the penal codes that protected abortion survivors,” Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council, told LifeNews.com about the provisions.

“Thanks to this Act, Kermit Gosnell, and his bloodstained, cat-infested, third-world excuse for a clinic, would be untouchable,” Perkins added. “The Resurgent‘s Stacey Lennox puts that into its gruesome context: ‘For those of you who saw the movie [Gosnell], Baby B would not be considered a victim.’”

If New York’s RHA applied to household pets, Leftists would be screaming inhumanity and animal abuse

Hot Air offered up its take on the bill’s wording as well, exposing the same far-reaching language and what it portends for the future of legal abortion in New York State.

“Contrary to what its proponents say, the RHA (Reproductive Health Act) goes far beyond Roe vs. Wade in its aggressive extremism,” the media outlet reported.

“Removing protection for an infant accidentally born alive during an abortion is abject cruelty, something most people of conscience would deem inhumane for even a dog or cat.”

Live Action further reiterated this fact, explaining that New York’s RHA actually removes protections for babies born alive after an abortion, “meaning they could be left to die after birth – by rescinding a portion of New York’s public health law,” it reported.

Were this bill’s provisions aimed at household pets like cats and dogs, you can be sure that every Leftist out there would be marching in the streets over its inhumanity, declaring it to be child abuse. But because the target is unborn babies, the Left Cult is actually celebrating this satanic travesty.

Somehow, the only lives that don’t seem to matter to Leftists – besides white lives, of course – are unborn human lives. Unborn babies are now regarded by the Left as non-persons – disposable “medical waste,” according to The Daily Show creator, Lizz Winstead.

“‘Person,’ as far as this law is concerned, means a human being who has been born and is alive. Not a second before, and maybe – without infant protections – not a few seconds after, either,” Perkins added about the new law’s implications.

Anti-Second Amendment Chicago Alderman Ed Burke Charged With Extortion: Surprise – Had 23 Guns In Office

From outlawing cell phone cases shaped like guns to bans on concealed weapons in places that serve alcohol and broadening the gun offender registry in Chicago, Alderman Ed Burke’s record has defined him as an aggressive pusher of gun control. But a bombshell 37-page criminal complaint charging Burke with extortion has exposed him to be yet another phony, hypocritical Anti-Second Amendment legislator.

Federal prosecutors now report that nearly two dozen firearms were discovered in Alderman Ed Burke’s offices during their raids in November. What a surprise! This longtime gun-control opponent was armed to the teeth, while denying the suffering and helpless residents of Chicago a chance to defend their family and property.

Some background from The Sun Times:

When two Burger King executives sought his support for a remodeling job of a fast-food location in his ward in 2017, Chicago’s most powerful alderman took them out for a swanky lunch at the Beverly Country Club — telling them all about his private law firm’s tax work.

Then, when they didn’t steer business to Klafter & Burke, a ward employee offered to play “hardball.” And Burke allegedly gave the green light.

Burke, 75, now faces a maximum of 20 years in prison following an investigation that involved recorded calls on Burke’s cellphone and apparent federal surveillance of the alderman.

The chairman of Chicago’s finance committee, who’s been in office for 50 years after succeeding his father, used his power to tie up the business licensing process for a southwest Chicago Burger King restaurant to force the owners to steer their legal business to his firm.

More from The Sun Times:

After the company struggled to have its permits approved, it agreed to steer business to Burke’s firm, according to the complaint. When (city employee Meaghan) Synowiecki asked whether he wanted business from all of its Illinois locations or just those in Cook County, Burke allegedly replied, “Umm, all Illinois locations.”

That was Dec. 19, 2017. An application for a driveway permit from the company was approved the same day, according to the complaint.

Let me know if you’ve seen this movie before: Liberal Democrat Alderman Burke, who had campaigned for decades on gun control and Second Amendment restrictions, was found to have 23 firearms in his office. Have we checked his home or garage? Signs posted outside his office prohibit anyone – even legal concealed carry – from bringing a gun into the government building.

I guess the alderman felt privileged?

Listen to this sickness – less than a month ago, Burke made this comment at a gun buyback event with police: “Any of those guns that are sitting in your closet that your relative may have brought back from the First World War, Second World War, Korea, bring them in get your 100 bucks get those guns off the street.”

So they can be safely stored in his office I guess..

Burke is not alone: 3 other sitting aldermen are facing criminal charges. Ald. Willie Cochran faces trial in June for allegedly shaking down businessmen to support projects in his 20th Ward. And Ald. Ricardo Munoz (22nd) faces a charge of domestic battery involving his wife.

Meanhile, they don’t trust you with a gun and I suppose we all know why.

Personal Bank Accounts in Venezuela Frozen to “Fight Terrorism”

Editor’s Note: This article by Jose about the blocking of personal bank accounts in Venezuela made me think about how the “Patriot” Act put similar rules in place here in the United States. When you open an account at a bank here, you have to prove you aren’t a terrorist by using multiple forms of ID and you become aware that you are constantly under suspicion of being guilty of money laundering with terrorists. Banks can quiz you about transactions and report you if they feel you’re suspicious. You can learn more about how the “Patriot” Act could potentially set us up for something identical to what Jose is describing here.  And the next time you’re in the bank, look for those little triangle paper signs sitting around everywhere that explain why your transactions may be questions in the name of “fighting terrorism.” ~ Daisy

*****

Controlling a society is not an easy task. It is about controlling food production means, limiting the mobility of people, denying access to everything, allowing basic human rights to be violated by the uniformed corps (very important because these groups have weaponry), and allowing irregular gangs take over resources that, otherwise, they would never be able to have control of.

Therefore, they NEED desperately to make people knee, and one of the ways they can do it, is via the control of the circulating money. This is nothing new.

The original Rothschild said once “give me the control of the currency of a country, and I wouldn´t mind who governs it”. Or something like that. That is exactly what this mafia has done.

They’re now freezing bank accounts within Venezuela

To do so, the criminal gang in power has reinforced their strategy.  They are freezing bank accounts inside Venezuela, in our national currency, if they detect someone is using the account from another country. My own bank accounts, with over 15 years of history, included.

This is against the right to use the private and personal property, guaranteed in our Constitution. They want so eagerly to change and seize our private property, just like Cuba did. Sending money back to family is not an easy task. There is an entire underground economy that works receiving money in foreign currency in accounts overseas and exchanging national currency in a circular flow because the bolivar is not exchangeable for some other currency.

The last steps to instate totalitarianism definitely, are now slowly being taken: the financial infrastructure is being stormed with greater intensity these days.

Let’s make this clear. Since the beginning of the takeover, when everyone was charmed by the Uncle Hugo´s charisma, without any clue about what was going on under the table (things like Alejandro Andrade being in charge of the National Treasury, ”assigned” personally by Hugo), this was the plan. The subjugation of any private initiative in the financial world.

“The state must control everything” is the communist motto in Venezuela.

The “empire” (sounds familiar?) is ready to “attack us” because they “need our resources”.

Funny. Those stealing our gold and coltan are Russia, China and Turkey. I can´t see any other nation around.

But controlling 20 million persons without any popularity, regardless of the number of armed soldiers, is not an easy task. After controlling access to food, medicines and some other basic life necessities, the following is to seize the ability of people to dispose of their money as they please.

By doing so, they increase as much as their control level, as the stress on the people they need to distract. And this stress is exactly what they want.

By controlling the amount of who transfers to whom, when and where…well, they could use to put in prison ANYONE THEY WANT. As a matter of fact, the reason they don’t do it just because they don’t have the facilities to lock down so many people. But the attempts to convert the country into a police state just like East Germany is there.

The recent creation of the Migratory Police is just another indication. The worst thing is, that it is going to be a tropical version, with the consequent favoring of the criminals, and the repression and harassing of regular, decent citizens who are exposed to being kidnapped or stolen.

Upon controlling the money flow, they could strangle any entity that is opposed to the totalitarian state. Of course, this is not a specialty of the communist world. This is known to happen in the western world too. Hollywood and Wall Street are no exceptions. At this point in our lives, we all should be aware of what seems to be happening beneath the surface.

Here’s how they justify blocking the bank accounts.

Of course, they justify blocking the bank accounts, especially in the state-owned banking institutions, because they say they are “fighting terrorism”.

Once the account is blocked, they will ask for some proof that the money comes from a legal transaction. Of course, the evidence is subject to their criteria. If they suspect that the origin of the money is suspicious, they will seize it and the account holder will be sent to the…”authorities”.

If you can demonstrate that the money is legit, people usually can walk free.

For the moment.

The organization in charge of the investigation of this things is the SUDEBAN, and they have strict orders to call the SEBIN, the intelligence corps being used as Praetorian Guard, to take care of the issue, and these are trained by the Cubans. So you know what that means already.

All the stories you could have heard about what happened in Cuba, are happening now in my country. The Cubans imposed the Cuban convertible peso, a currency designed for limited usage within the country. The mafia tried to do something similar, with the technological improvement of the cryptocurrencies with the “petro”…but of course, there is not even the slightest indication of trust that favors anything coming from those thugs. Therefore, that “cryptocurrency” is useless.

The entire purpose of that useless currency? Evading the sanctions generated by their defiant violation of our human rights for years. The iron fist over the financial infrastructure is executed in some instances using the intelligence services.

Of course, there is a lot of business involving this: people with large accounts being…”released” after paying some…let´s say “fines”, and an adequate collaboration with the “authorities”. You know what I mean.

There is a history of taking over entire industries to control the people.

Of course, the blocking is not something that was improvised. Many years ago, Uncle Hugo had taken control of the Internet in Venezuela. He did this by seizing the largest private company of communications, the CANTV. Then, with the Ministry of Telecommunications providing to this (now) state-owned company the entire rights to be the only internet provider in the country (which is something).

Now, they are using another institution to violate our rights over our private property, our financial assets, the money, with the SUDEBAN. This “institution” is supposedly in charge of the banking institutions, and establish the appropriate regulations for their functioning.

Of course, the real intention is to control the information regarding the money flow. This is not unprecedented. Cubans could force their people into slavery because they did not have means to escape of the financial grip back then.

The main idea behind this is to produce a slow asphyxiation of the trade, regardless if this is between commerce or private parties. They need to know what accounts are being used to bypass the currency control exchange so they can block them, and harass the people that are making business and trying to make a living outside the unreal conditions they want to force in the economy. The price fixation has resulted in a huge black market, with a very limited production controlled almost totally by a military mafia.

All of this helps to keep the people busy and not rebelling.

They have tried for years to impose a price for the dollar; but that price fixation is unreal, because you can´t go to ANYWHERE and buy dollars at the official exchange rate. The reason is simple: there are no dollars available because they stole every single dime that came into the country. The oil production is not enough to keep pumping dollars into the financial system that has become a gigantic laundry, under the regime terror that Rafael Ramirez instated as president of the oil corporation PDVSA.  They are looking now for the extradition of Alejandro Andrade, the manufacturer of the financial infrastructure that allowed them to steal OUR money…BILLIONS of dollars.

As a result, they are trying to screw the population as much as they can, because they know that, keeping them busy, they won´t get organized and start fighting them. You can´t train a rebel militia if your kids are starving, though.

Of course, this is going to be the final result…perhaps a highly chaotic mass of people that will result in a huge snowball that will sweep the mafias, colectivos, and everything in the middle. There is nothing as powerful as the rage of millions of people. It is just a matter of time, and I know it.

Of course, we ex-pats won´t be sitting around just watching. But for my own safety, I will leave this to the imagination of my fellow libertarians. They have suspended the access to “unofficial” exchange pages such as AirTM, and other similar ones. All of this is somehow by-passed, but I won´t give details here because of the harm it can do to those who try to send money there without recurring to the official exchange rate. It should be on the net, though, for those interested.

As an interesting note, me, being an analytical person, I have detected some mistakes that (people with much more knowledge of economy science should be able to tell this) we are committing, and one of these is using a foreign currency (without any possibility to get) to try to stabilize that craziness. Of course, the mafia is using the joke of that crypto “Petro”, that they definitely don´t have a clue about. Recently the Big Pig (if you don´t know whom I refer to…you should see the news about Venezuela in YT) said: “I have decided to fixate the price of the Petro in 9000 Bolivares”…THAT IS A JOKE YOU STUPID!…

The barter system is the only way to get by now.

Rants apart (Jeez, that felt good J ), the idea is to use some kind of exchange or bartering system that can be used to level the playground, so to speak. Once achieved some kind of agreement, then some degree of stabilization is going to be present.

For example, if I have a couple of brand new tires, that last for a couple of years of normal usage, perhaps I could ask for them engine oil enough to keep my own SUV running for that couple of years. Or, perhaps we could check the websites overseas and see the prices in some foreign currency, and adjust ourselves. However, that means a strong, person-to-person interaction, something that is unlikely to exist with a big shop or store.

But here is where the ingenuity should prevail, and some special warehouses could be used very discreetly for such purpose (Mos Eisley, anyone?). I am pretty sure that, without the “authorities” harassing so much to the farmers and food producers or processors like they do in Cuba, things would be much easier.

Thanks very much to those special persons that have been sending some assistance continuously, we appreciate that gesture, and we know it comes from the heart, and that is the best. Under the current circumstances, uncertainty about the date of our return is now greater…I only can hope, and try to organize some demonstrations around here, in an attempt to make the world not forget our tragedy.

God bless us all, people!.

Scarborough Says Supreme Court Will Decide If Trump Can Be Indicted Or Not

Joe Scarborough said the Supreme Court will have to examine whether or not President Donald Trump can be indicted if it’s discovered he used illegal means to win the presidency.

“You know, the important thing to remember, Mika, as we’re talking about whether you can indict a president or not is what Joyce Vance just said,” Scarborough said Monday on “Morning Joe.”

“If the indictment pertains to illegal activities that got you elected president of the United States or may have got you elected president of the United States, then the Supreme Court has to look at that differently.”

Scarborough then compared America’s laws about indicting a president to a banana republic and said the Supreme Court has no choice but to clear a path for Trump’s indictment.

“This is where the banana republic part comes in,” he continued. “Then it becomes is banana republic where somebody committing illegal acts say, ‘I can do whatever I want to do. I can commit whatever felonies I want to commit as long as I get elected president of the United States they cannot indict me.’ That is not an American principle.”

“Mika, the American principle is, no man is above the law. No woman is above the law,” Scarborough added.

“That’s why I believe this Supreme Court if faced with this question, I think they are going to be faced with this question, ultimately will have to decide that this president has to be indicted because of the connection with the crimes which actually helped him get elected.”

Anti-Gun Bill Would Require Social Media History and Internet Search History of Prospective Buyers

In New York (the state, not just the city) there’s a rather Orwellian gun bill on the table that would require would-be firearm purchasers to turn over 3 years of their social media history and one year of their internet search history if they want to buy a gun.

“A three-year review of a social media profile would give an easy profile of a person who is not suitable to hold and possess a firearm,” said Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, who has proposed the legislation with New York State Senator Kevin Parker. (source)

Applicants to purchase a gun would be required by law to turn over their social media passwords to accounts like Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, and they’d have to allow police to see a year’s worth of their searches on a year’s worth of searches on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.  As well, anyone renewing their permit for a pistol would be subject to this invasive investigation.

Now, for those of you sitting there saying, “That’s fine, I don’t use social media and I use Duck Duck Go or StartPage” this is great – for now.

How long do you think it would be before other outlets like blogs where you comment or these different search engines are added to the list of things that are searched? Trust me, if it gets passed, this is a greasy slide straight to the bad place.

What will the police be looking for?

According to a write-up on the Democrat and Chronicle, a daily newspaper in Rochester, NY:

Police would be required to look for evidence the applicant searched for or used racist or discriminatory language, threatened the safety of another person, inquired about or alluded to an act of terrorism, and, finally, “any other issue deemed necessary by the investigating officer.” (source)

Think for a moment about how much the investigating officer’s bias would come into play here. In some ways of thinking, people who say “all lives matter” are considered the epitome of racism even when taken out of context.

And what about a couple of women talking about a breakup using heated language in a conversation about the ex who has become the enemy? Are they really going to act on it or are they just blowing off some steam?

Then I think about my search history regarding terrorism – I’m a blogger, for goodness sakes. My search history is a dark place.  What if you’re researching what kind of gun you want to buy and you’re looking up things like “stopping power” or some other thing the anti-gun folks consider “scary” that is a completely legitimate question in reality?

And “any other issue deemed necessary” is just far, far too broad to provide any comfort whatsoever that the investigations would be fair and impartial. All of this is completely subjective. Anyone with a dark sense of humor, regardless of their sanity or upstanding citizen-ness, is going to be in for a hard time.

This social media and search history bill is unconstitutional on so many levels.

If you think it takes a long time now to get a gun or a carry permit (it can be weeks to months in some states), imagine how long it would take if officers are poring over everything on your laptop for the past 3 years. People in those areas would be waiting for far longer to make a purchase they’re allowed to make by the Second Amendment of the constitution.

Then there’s the dirty little pre-crime aspect of the whole thing. Eric Adams, one of the founders of this bright idea, said it was just basic police work. “If the police department is reviewing a gang assault, a robbery, some type of shooting, they go and do a social media profile investigation.”

But as the Foundation for Economic Education points out, in those cases, police are investigating a crime, not trying to predict one.

First, comparing the search of a prospective gun buyer’s internet history to routine police investigations is odd. When an assault, robbery, or shooting occurs, police are investigating a crime. That is not the case with someone trying to buy a firearm; the buyer is simply trying to make a lawful purchase. This bill is closer to what one might call pre-crime, an idea that has served as a plot device in dystopian literature for more than half a century. (The 2002 Tom Cruise movie Minority Report, a story that centers around a state that has figured out how to stop crimes before they happen, was based on a 1956 Philip K. Dick novel.) (source)

This complete lack of privacy for gun owners is also concerning. Remember, it isn’t just new gun owners who would have to submit to this investigation – any gun owner who wants to keep his or her firearm in a place where permission must be renewed would be subject to an invasive search every time they were up for renewal. This, to me, slips into the realm of unreasonable searches, against which we are protected by the 4th amendment.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. (source)

Buying a gun is not a crime, which means there is no probable cause, right?

And who gets to decide whether something is hate speech? Ask any two people if a statement is hateful, and you’re likely to get two different answers. It all depends where you’re coming from. If some self-loathing, social justice warrior type is the one investigating versus some rigidly alt-right traditionalist, they’re going to see the social media commentary of a person very differently. You simply cannot make sweeping laws like this and leave the enforcement up to human beings who have their own biases without setting up a system of unfairness.

Fee states:

Additionally, there is the issue of defining hate speech, a notoriously nebulous term. (Europe has already shown where the road of state-regulated hate speech takes us.) What authority would determine what speech qualifies as “hateful”? To deny someone a fundamental right based on the state’s interpretation of “hate speech” would be an affront to constitutional principles. (source)

These people want to “protect” us right into dystopia.

But they don’t enforce the laws we already have.

They’re not even enforcing the gun control measures already in place.

The folks who want to make it more difficult for innocent people to exercise their second amendment rights should perhaps focus on the laws that are already in place instead of heaping even more of the onus on innocent people.

Several of last year’s mass shootings would not have occurred if those laws were enforced.

Nicolas Cruz, who shot up the high school in Florida. had serious mental health issues that were not properly reported and documented. Had they been, he would not have been able to purchase a gun – at least not legally.

And Devin Patrick Kelly, the guy who shot up a church in a small town in Texas, had a dishonorable discharge for violently assaulting his wife and child. Had the military reported this as they were obligated to do, he would not have passed the background check. He would not have been able to legally purchase those guns either.

We must ask ourselves this question seriously.

If we don’t enforce the gun laws that are already on the books, what good will more gun laws do?

More laws will mean that innocent people have a greater burden and that bad people will continue to flout the law with no fear of repercussions.

I don’t want to lose my right to protect myself just because government agencies aren’t taking seriously their responsibilities in preventing crimes.

Devin Kelley should not have been able to buy a gun according to the current laws. But the Air Force did not follow them.

Nikolas Cruz flat out told everyone he was going to be a school shooter. But the FBI didn’t do anything to stop him. He had years of history of mental illness and behavioral problems. But these issues were not reported to the database that would have prevented him from purchasing a gun.

Is the problem really with law-abiding, innocent gun owners? Or is it more reasonably with the authorities who aren’t abiding by the responsibilities charged to them and the people who are intent on killing? (source)

What good will more laws do? The proposed bill will cost extra money for anyone who wants to buy a gun, lengthen the waiting period, and rule out people based on the whims of the investigator.

Remember, these things never stop with just one state.

It’s easy to scoff and say, “Those crazy people in New York are getting what they voted for.”  I know someone’s going to say it so there, I said it for you.

But that’s short-sighted, and dare I say, ignorant of the way the world works.

Look at all the states that have recently flipped from red to blue in the midterm elections. If you don’t think it could ever happen where you are, you’re not paying attention. Please keep in mind that I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but am referring to some party generalizations here.

Democrats, who tend to lean more toward gun control measures than Republicans, took over the House of Representatives in the midterm elections. They also won 7 governor’s seats that were previously held by Republicans. A Democrat won a Senate seat in Montana, for crying out loud, long known to be a conservative stronghold.

There has been hard blowback against President Trump which will leave ripples in future elections for decades. In fact, I don’t recall in my adult life ever seeing a president so hated, disrespected and maligned. And the people doing the most maligning are the ones with the biggest microphones – namely, the mainstream media and Hollywood.

It’s not a stretch of the imagination to suggest we could soon see a dramatic shift in the United States that will open the door to all sorts of controlling “greater good” kinds of things.

Greater good. You know, like searching people’s computers before letting them own or keep their guns.

If this passes in New York, it won’t be long before it passes in California. Then in Massachusetts. Then it will spread, like a gun control virus. And it won’t be long until we see something introduced in the US Congress.

All of these new gun control measures are a scary, Orwellian slope and we’re slipping down it a little more every day.

There Is No Case Against Julian Assange So Lies Take the Place of Evidence

Julian Assange is not guilty of any crime. But Washington is going to convict him anyway. Documents are being fabricated to show that Assange met inside the Ecuadoran Embassy in London with Paul Manafort and some Russians.

The logs of all visits to the Embassy have been released and show no such meetings.

This latest fabrication was dumped on the public by the Guardian, formerly a leftwing newspaper but today a MI6 asset. Luke Harding who was leaked the fake documents is either extremely gullible or himself a MI6 asset.

The purpose of the leak is to create in the public’s mind that Assange was involved in “Russiagate” along with Trump and Putin. The fact that no evidence has been found that Russiagate exists except as a made-up allegation to justify a special prosecutor to investigate President Trump has not stopped the continued use of this canard.

Washington and London are relying on the public’s insouciance to shield their shamelessness.

Julian Assange’s life has been ruined because he was a professional journalist who told the truth instead of serving as a shill for the ruling elite. Now the intention is to give him a show trial and to convict him without evidence, relying on presstitutes to spread fake evidence that a meeting that did not occur occurred and with no explanation of how such a meeting if it had actuallly occurred would constitute espionage.

Former British ambassador Craig Murry explains the shameful use of government power against an innocent person that has been unfolding under our eyes for the last six years. What is being done to Assange is as bad as any of Stalin’s show trials and is worse because it is happening in full view in front of Western Democracy.

Here is Ambassador Murray:

Assange Never Met Manafort. Luke Harding and the Guardian Publish Still More Blatant MI6 Lies

By Craig Murray

The right wing Ecuadorean government of President Moreno continues to churn out its production line of fake documents regarding Julian Assange, and channel them straight to MI6 mouthpiece Luke Harding of the Guardian.

Amazingly, more Ecuadorean Government documents have just been discovered for the Guardian, this time spy agency reports detailing visits of Paul Manafort and unspecified “Russians” to the Embassy. By a wonderful coincidence of timing, this is the day after Mueller announced that Manafort’s plea deal was over.

The problem with this latest fabrication is that Moreno had already released the visitor logs to the Mueller inquiry. Neither Manafort nor these “Russians” are in the visitor logs.

This is impossible. The visitor logs were not kept by Wikileaks, but by the very strict Ecuadorean security. Nobody was ever admitted without being entered in the logs. The procedure was very thorough. To go in, you had to submit your passport (no other type of document was accepted). A copy of your passport was taken and the passport details entered into the log. Your passport, along with your mobile phone and any other electronic equipment, was retained until you left, along with your bag and coat. I feature in the logs every time I visited.

There were no exceptions. For an exception to be made for Manafort and the “Russians” would have had to be a decision of the Government of Ecuador, not of Wikileaks, and that would be so exceptional the reason for it would surely have been noted in the now leaked supposed Ecuadorean “intelligence report” of the visits. What possible motive would the Ecuadorean government have for facilitating secret unrecorded visits by Paul Manafort? Furthermore it is impossible that the intelligence agency – who were in charge of the security – would not know the identity of these alleged “Russians”.

Previously Harding and the Guardian have published documents faked by the Moreno government regarding a diplomatic appointment to Russia for Assange of which he had no knowledge. Now they follow this up with more documents aimed to provide fictitious evidence to bolster Mueller’s pathetically failed attempt to substantiate the story that Russia deprived Hillary of the Presidency.

My friend William Binney, probably the world’s greatest expert on electronic surveillance, former Technical Director of the NSA, has stated that it is impossible the DNC servers were hacked, the technical evidence shows it was a download to a directly connected memory stick. I knew the US security services were conducting a fake investigation the moment it became clear that the FBI did not even themselves look at the DNC servers, instead accepting a report from the Clinton linked DNC “security consultants” Crowdstrike.

I would love to believe that the fact Julian has never met Manafort is bound to be established. But I fear that state control of propaganda may be such that this massive “Big Lie” will come to enter public consciousness in the same way as the non-existent Russian hack of the DNC servers.

Assange never met Manafort. The DNC emails were downloaded by an insider. Assange never even considered fleeing to Russia. Those are the facts, and I am in a position to give you a personal assurance of them.

I can also assure you that Luke Harding, the Guardian, Washington Post and New York Times have been publishing a stream of deliberate lies, in collusion with the security services.

I am not a fan of Donald Trump. But to see the partisans of the defeated candidate (and a particularly obnoxious defeated candidate) manipulate the security services and the media to create an entirely false public perception, in order to attempt to overturn the result of the US Presidential election, is the most astonishing thing I have witnessed in my lifetime.

Plainly the government of Ecuador is releasing lies about Assange to curry favour with the security establishment of the USA and UK, and to damage Assange’s support prior to expelling him from the Embassy. He will then be extradited from London to the USA on charges of espionage.

Assange is not a whistleblower or a spy – he is the greatest publisher of his age, and has done more to bring the crimes of governments to light than the mainstream media will ever be motivated to achieve. That supposedly great newspaper titles like the Guardian, New York Times and Washington Post are involved in the spreading of lies to damage Assange, and are seeking his imprisonment for publishing state secrets, is clear evidence that the idea of the “liberal media” no longer exists in the new plutocratic age. The press are not on the side of the people, they are an instrument of elite control.

Craig Murray is an author, broadcaster and human rights activist. He was British Ambassador to Uzbekistan from August 2002 to October 2004 and Rector of the University of Dundee from 2007 to 2010.

REPORT: At Least 15 Known Terrorists Have Been Arrested Trying To Jump The Southwest Border

  • At least 15 known terrorists or people with ties to Islamic militant groups have been arrested while trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border since 2001, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies.
  • The CIS report identified the cases using court records and other public documents, but the true number could be higher given the fact that other instances are kept secret by the government.
  • In once case, a Somali national was arrested after being smuggled into California, but made bond and went on to carry out an ISIS-inspired rampage in Canada.

More than a dozen suspected terrorists or people with close ties to Islamic militant groups have been arrested after trying to enter the country through the southwest border, according to an analysis of public records released Tuesday.

Since 2001, there have been at least 15 confirmed cases in which members of terrorist groups, including the Islamic State and al-Shabaab, were encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border or shortly after crossing illegally, says the report from the Center for Immigration Studies.

The individuals were among the thousands of so-called “special interest aliens” — people from countries beset by terrorism  — that are apprehended at the southern border on an annual basis.

“While President Trump may have raised the prospect of terrorist border infiltration to gain political advantage, facts would support his contention that Middle Easterners from places like Syria, Iraq, and Egypt, as well as from South Asia and the Horn of Africa, do indeed routinely travel the same routes as Hondurans to the U.S. southern border and that some terrorist suspects have traveled among them,” the report’s author, CIS fellow Todd Bensman, concluded.

Bensman’s analysis uses publicly available news reports and court documents to identify instances where terror suspects sought to enter the U.S. by crossing through a port of entry or being smuggled across the border. Because it relies on public data, it likely undercounts the number of times a person with ties to terrorism was able to sneak into the U.S. via the southern border, Bensman says.

“Absent the benefit of a large body of classified and protected government information that also exists about the subject, this list therefore cannot be regarded as comprehensive,” he wrote.

In the most notorious case, a Somali national was arrested in 2011 after being smuggled through Central America and Mexico into California. Abdulahi Sharif was ordered deported by an immigration judge but skipped bond and eventually crossed into Canada, where he went on to stab a police officer and run over pedestrians during an ISIS-inspired attack in Edmonton in September 2017.

Citing “intelligence community sources with access to protected government information,” the CIS report also found at least 100 people on U.S. terror watch lists were intercepted at or on the way to the southwest between 2012 and 2017. About half of those were stopped at the border, while the others were detained by authorities along smuggling routes in Central America and Mexico.

The CIS report comes on the heels of the arrival of another caravan of mostly Central American migrants in Tijuana, just south of the U.S.-Mexico border. Before it arrived, President Donald Trump sparked controversy when he claimed “criminals and unknown Middle Easterners” had infiltrated the group as part of his justification for military response to the situation.

While the Trump administration did not provide any specific examples with respect to the caravan, the phenomenon of foreigners from terror-prone countries trying to enter the U.S. illegally via the southern border is well-established. A small but significant fraction of the special interest aliens apprehended at or en route to the U.S.-Mexico border have ties to terrorism, according to the CIS report.

“For perspective, the 100 or so watch-listed migrants logged from 2012-2017 compares to roughly 3,000 ‘special interest alien’ migrants from countries of interest who are annually apprehended at the southern border,” Bensman wrote. “This indicates a small ratio of terrorist suspects apprehended at the border, though a high number considering the threat that any one of them poses is outsized and of high consequence.”
