“Donald Trump — and I get beat up by liberals every time I say this, but I’m gonna keep saying it — he has done good stuff for the black community,” Jones said Friday on CNN. “Opportunity zone stuff, black college stuff. I worked with him on criminal justice stuff. I saw Donald Trump have African-American people, formerly incarcerated, in the White House — embraced them, treated them well. There’s a side to Donald Trump that I think he does not get enough credit for.”

Jones was reacting to CNN anchor Jake Tapper, who slammed Trump for remarks he made during the final presidential debate with Joe Biden, in particular for saying that he’s “done more” for the black community than any president with the “possible exception of Abraham Lincoln” and claiming that he was the “least racist” person in the room.
Tapper said that not only was it “false,” it was a “crazy thing to say.”
Jones said that Trump’s accomplishments with the black community were overshadowed by the “incendiary stuff” he says, and that Trump violated “the No. 1 rule of blackness, which is, ‘I don’t mess with people who mess with people I don’t mess with.’”
As Jones, predicted liberals piled on the former Obama White House adviser calling him everything from a sellout to a Trumper.
