(INTELLIHUB) — The Travel industry is deploying HAZMAT suit to passenger airplanes in wake of the current Wuhan virus outbreak in central China which has infected hundreds of people killing six.

The virus is spreading at an unprecedented rate compared to Ebola and experts fear the worst as cases may have already reached the Philippines and Australia despite screening measures that were put into place at a good number of airports worldwide.

Bloomberg reports: “In China, President Xi Jinping ordered resolute efforts to curb the spread of the illness since the disease was first detected in Wuhan, a city of 11 million. Wuhan is now under heavy screening: people found to have symptoms like fever at travel checkpoints are being stopped from boarding planes and trains.”

Airports in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and New York implemented screening measures late last week.

So far, no cases have been reported inside the United States.
