Former CBS News Correspondent Lara Logan Joins Sinclair Broadcasting

Former CBS News foreign correspondent and 60 Minutes contributor Lara Logan is joining the conservative-leaning Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Logan created a stir within the journalism community in February when she told former Navy SEAL Mike Ritland on his podcast that the media had a liberal bias.

“The media everywhere is mostly liberal. But in this country, 85 percent of journalists are registered Democrats. So that’s just a fact, right?”

Logan added that news organizations on “one side of the political spectrum” have a lot of “weight.”

Logan’s first assignment will be reporting from the U.S.-Mexico border as the immigrant surge threatens to overwhelm authorities.

Sinclair has been expanding its programming recently launching a weekly national news program, America This Week, hosted by former Fox News host Eric Bolling and investigative journalist James Rosen, another Fox News alum.

Former Trump advisers Boris Epshteyn and Sebastian Gorka appear frequently on the network and it just hired former Obama campaign staffer Ameshia Cross as a left-leaning commentator to provide balance.
