(INTELLIHUB) — Apple and other tech companies have sold tens of millions of pairs of wireless earbuds over the past few years which a group of 250 scientists from over 40 countries is now warning may cause cancer.

Wireless technologies are appealing to consumers but may not be safe, experts warn.

The close proximity of the wireless earbuds to the brain may cause significant risk of cancer, as the Daily Mail reports.

According to University of California community health professor Dr. Joel Moskowitz, wireless earbuds “communicate with one another using a magnetic induction field, a variable magnetic field [one] sends through your brain to communicate with the other” which cannot be “great for you.”

The bottom line is, wireless earbuds are essentially still experimental and should not be fully trusted.

Will you continue to wear wireless earbuds despite the fact that over 250 scientists warn they may cause cancer?
